Admissions

WCS is here to partner with you in the spiritual and academic education of your child.  We strive to present a model for our students which encompasses all areas of their development ~ intellectual, emotional, social, physical and spiritual.   We consider it a privilege to serve your children during their formative years.

WCS welcomes all prospective students and families. The school seeks to admit students who show considerable growth potential while at WCS.  Applicants must show a willingness and desire to attend WCS.

Students are admitted to WCS based upon completion of applications and submission of academic records.  You can begin our admissions process by contacting Samantha Cotter, Admissions/Enrollment.  She is equipped to guide you through the admissions process and answer all the questions you will have.

Additionally, Mrs. Cotter is happy to set up a tour for prospective students and/or their parents who visit our classes during the school year. This allows an opportunity to get a close up view of a typical day at WCS.

Testing

Educational testing may be required for students who have no prior testing or outdated testing.

Acceptance

The Application will be reviewed in its entirety when the file is complete.  It is the responsibility of the applicant to ensure that all materials have been received.  An incomplete file cannot be reviewed.  The responsibility of the Admissions Committee is to determine if the student will be successful at Westside.  The family will be notified as soon as a decision has been made by Admissions Committee.

Students are enrolled for one academic year at a time; open enrollment happens late February or early March where current students may re-enroll. Acceptance is not automatic. Applications are reviewed and are accepted or denied on the basis of the students academics, behavior, and moral standings. Students will be notified if their re-enrollment has been denied. If Westside denies admission, the registration fee will be refunded. If a family changes their mind after they have submitted the re-enrollment papers and registration fee, the registration fee will not be refunded. It is our hopes that all students are successful at Westside, but it takes the commitment of the student and family to respect and abide by the requirements and guidelines of the school.

School Policies

Students are expected to be positive and contributing members of the student body by their reflection of Christian values both on and off campus; this includes when school is in session, during times of vacation and during summer months.  Students who demonstrate values or behaviors that are not consistent with the policies of the school will be asked to withdrawal prior to the end of the year or prior to the start of the school year.

Westside Christian School welcomes students of any race, creed or national origin, affording them all the rights, privileges and programs offered at the school.  Diversity is encouraged within WCS though a personal commitment to Christian tenets.
